Qualifications

• Graduate from a physical therapist assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state (if license is available).

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapies and education.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with resident/patient activities and direct care.
• Maintain department records per facility policy.
• Perform treatments and related duties as delegated by the PT.
• Maintain proper records and document data per treatment plan.
• Respond to psychosocial support needs and communicate with the team.

Pay Range: $26.80 - $32.45 per hour based on experience.

Schedule: Fulltime, Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts.

What You Bring (Requirements)

A graduate from a physical therapist assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association and is currently licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state (if license is available).

Minimum of one year experience as a physical therapist assistant in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

The PTA provides physical therapies and education, assists the Physical Therapist with resident/patient related activities and direct resident/patient care and keeps department records as per facility policy.

• Perform physical therapy treatments and related duties as may be delegated by the physical therapist.
• Maintain proper records according to facility policy and procedures.
• Perform and record, as specified by the planned treatment program, non-evaluative on-going data.
• Respond to psych-social support needs of the patient and/or the resident’s family.
• Communicate appropriately and effectively with all personnel and to document according to professional standards.
