Job summary

Home Health of Western Colorado in Montrose, CO is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate team. The PTA provides physical therapies, patient education, and assists the Physical Therapist with resident care to support everyday activities.

We offer full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, with a pay range of $26.80–$32.45 per hour based on experience. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, 403(b), PTO, life and short-term disability, EAP, wellness

Qualifications

  • PTA must be licensed in Colorado and in good standing.
  • Graduated from a PTA curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a PTA in a skilled nursing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapies and education under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Assist with resident/patient activities and direct care as delegated.
  • Maintain accurate records per facility policy and procedures.
  • Record ongoing data per the planned treatment program.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and document according to standards.

Pay Range: $26.80 - $32.45 per hour based on experience.

Schedule: Fulltime, Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts.

What You Bring (Requirements)
  • A graduate from a physical therapist assistant curriculum approved by the American Physical Therapy Association and is currently licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state (if license is available).
  • Minimum of one year experience as a physical therapist assistant in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
What You’ll Be Responsible For

The PTA provides physical therapies and education, assists the Physical Therapist with resident/patient related activities and direct resident/patient care and keeps department records as per facility policy.

  • Perform physical therapy treatments and related duties as may be delegated by the physical therapist.
  • Maintain proper records according to facility policy and procedures.
  • Perform and record, as specified by the planned treatment program, non-evaluative on-going data.
  • Respond to psych-social support needs of the patient and/or the resident’s family.
  • Communicate appropriately and effectively with all personnel and to document according to professional standards.

We are trained in caring for older adults, providing in-home health care services in the Delta, Montrose and Ouray counties and Montrose, CO.
