Job summary

The Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support our rehab teams and assist with patient scheduling and documentation. You will help patients and families follow care plans to achieve better outcomes in a 36-bed inpatient facility.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an associate’s degree.
  • Current and valid state PTA license in the state where services are rendered.
  • CPR certification when required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate patient progress or concerns to supervisors and team members.
  • Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
  • Document patient care in accordance with PeopleFirst, regulatory, licensing, payer and accreditation requirements.
  • Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
  • Make presentations to support marketing efforts, team conferences, and in-services.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the company’s Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, professional standards, and state/federal laws.

About the Hospital

The hospital is a 36‑bed inpatient rehabilitation facility serving the Keller, TX community. We provide comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs that include stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury care.
