Job summary

Tallgrass Healthcare Campus in Junction City, Kansas, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will work across skilled nursing, assisted living, and outpatient therapy, delivering hands-on care to help residents regain strength and independence.

Under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will implement plans of care, document progress, participate in care plan meetings, and promote a collaborative, resident-centered

Qualifications

• Active state PTA license or certification (required).
• Strong understanding of therapeutic interventions and treatment techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Compassionate, reliable, and resident-focused mindset.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Desire to be part of a stable in-house rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments according to individualized plans of care developed by the Licensed Physical Therapist.
• Treat residents in skilled nursing, assisted living, and outpatient therapy settings.
• Communicate resident progress, concerns, and recommendations to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Apply appropriate therapeutic techniques based on resident presentation and plan of care.
• Participate in care plan meetings when requested by the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and provide input for discharge summaries.
• Complete daily billing and documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain compliance with state practice acts, professional ethics, and company policies.
• Support a collaborative, resident-centered, interdisciplinary rehab approach.
