Job summary

Legacy Healthcare in Iowa is seeking Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to join our friendly and supportive team. You will assist the Physical Therapist with the design, implementation, and delivery of customized physical therapy programs for residents to meet their goals.

Applicants should have an associate degree from an accredited PTA program and an unencumbered Iowa PTA certificate; one year of PTA experience is preferred, but we invest in the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Must hold an unencumbered Iowa PTA license/certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapist in designing, implementing, and delivering customized therapy programs.
• Monitor residents during therapy to ensure comfort and safety.
• Document progress and communicate with PT to adjust plans as needed.
• Support the therapy department to meet residents' goals and standards.

As a PTA you are the front line of the Therapy Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect atLegacy Healthcareby assisting the Physical Therapist with the design, implementation, and delivery of customized physical therapy programs to assist residents meet their therapy goals. To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an associate’s degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program and an unencumbered State ofIowaPTA certificate. One (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
