Job summary

Newport Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking licensed Physical Therapist Assistants to join our in-house therapy team. This is a full-time position, with the option for PRN as needed, within a wonderful facility that emphasizes resident-centered care.

As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a physical therapist, delivering comprehensive treatment and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to support residents stay healthy and engaged.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current license and/or registration as Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Experience with patient care in a rehab or long-term care setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Document progress in daily treatment notes and complete required documentation as indicated by state guidelines.
• Document treatments and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members for best practice.
• Implement and conduct treatment as outlined in the treatment plan.
• Monitor treatments as indicated by physician orders.
• Participate in implementation of resident care plans.
• Work with interdisciplinary team to improve residents' quality of life by providing optimal care and address care plans.

Physical Therapist Assistant Job Responsibilities:
