Job summary

German Centre in Boston is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatments under a licensed Physical Therapist, helping residents improve mobility, strength, balance and independence. You will assist with exercises, gait training, transfers and mobility activities, monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate residents and caregivers on exercises and fall prevention.

Strong English communication and licensure required; prior long‑term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Minimum 1-year experience, preferably in a long‑term care setting
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to improve residents' mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and mobility activities while ensuring safety and comfort.
