Job summary
The Hamlet Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at Nesconset in Bay Shore, NY is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing team. The role focuses on geriatric rehabilitation, assisting the PTA with mobility-improving therapies and independent patient care.
Candidates must hold an active PTA license, be able to work without direct supervision, and have a passion for improving residents' quality of life.
Qualifications
- Active license as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the practicing state.
- Ability to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision.
- Experience with geriatric/SNF settings preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the PT with therapies designed to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Support residents' functional activities to enhance wellness.
- Contribute to treatment plans and progress notes.

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.
Assist the PT with therapies designed to improve mobility, relieve pain, prevent or limit permanent physical disability and promote overall fitness and wellness in a skilled nursing facility.
