Universal Health Services is seeking a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist. The PTA will screen patients, educate patients and families, and use exercises and modalities in treatment and rehabilitation. Some travel between facilities may be required to fulfill job duties.
Must hold Texas PTA licensure (or temporary license) and maintain current BCLS certification. Clinical experience is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY: Staff Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist in accordance with the patients’ plan of care. The physical therapy assistant will screen patients, educate patient and family, utilize exercises and physical therapy modalities in the treatment and rehabilitative of persons who have medical problems, health related conditions, or a developmental disability that limits their ability to move or perform functional activities. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions. This position summary contains the most relevant duties, responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.
