Job summary

United Methodist Communities is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for a per diem role at The Shores in Ocean City, NJ. The position offers $40/hr with day shifts and flexible scheduling as part of our supportive team. The PTA will assist licensed therapists, document progress, and contribute to patient care in a sub-acute/home care setting.

Applicants must be 21+, hold an active NJ PTA license, and have prior adult care experience. Net Health Therapy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Graduate of accredited therapy program (required).
• Current and active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Jersey (required).
• Prior experience with adults in sub-acute and/or home care settings (required).
• Experience with Net Health Therapy platform preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in providing therapy treatments and procedures.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ functional abilities and daily living activities.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the physical therapist.
• Provide support and encouragement during therapy activities.
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately and timely in accordance with state and facility guidelines.
