About the position

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Madison Health, you will be responsible for the treatment of patients under the direction of the Physical Therapist and within their scope of practice. Typically, the PTA will aid in the provision of rehabilitative treatments for patients who have experienced injury or a disabling disease. The PTA is responsible for following the established plan of care and goals set forth by the evaluating Physical Therapist.

This is a PRN position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective physical therapy treatment under supervision, demonstrating accurate therapeutic principles and clinical judgment.
• Complete documentation promptly to support effective care and maximize compensation.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and families, treating all with dignity and respect, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely, following sterilization and safety procedures.
• Comply with state, federal, and APTA regulations, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in activities that promote hospital operations and departmental growth.

Qualifications
