Position Type: PRN
Education Level: Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Program and must hold or obtain an Arkansas State License to practice physical therapy.

Summary

Assists Physical Therapist with therapy skills and training principles for FCC clientele.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review social history, psychological, medical, and therapy reports/records.
2. Discuss and establish client needs with Supervising Therapist.
3. Complete documentation and billing timely according to procedures.
4. Communicate with team and contribute to treatment plan implementation.
5. Conduct individual and group sessions to meet objectives.
6. Share program updates with team for consistency.
7. Use effective communication with colleagues via voicemail, email, and interoffice mail.
8. Manage inappropriate behavior/responses appropriately.
9. Supervise practicum students as assigned.
10. Attend in-service education, short courses, meetings, and conventions.
11. Research professional journals and texts.
12. Ensure current technology use with clients.
13. Provide therapy in various settings: FCC, clinic, schools, homes, STAR/Adult Services.
14. Manage caseload to maintain clinic operations.
15. Maintain client records per legal and licensing requirements.
16. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Maintain confidentiality per policies and HIPAA.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Program; Arkansas State License required.
2. Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and professional publications.
3. Effective oral presentation skills.
4. Basic math skills and ability to document performance accurately.
5. Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions.
6. Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
7. Visual and sensory abilities as described.
