Job summary

South Mountain Rehab Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct rehab care in Boonsboro, Maryland under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, provide patient education, and collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program (ASPT), active state licensure, CPR certification, and proficiency with Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (ASPT).
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable state.
• 1 year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

• Follow physical therapy treatment plans under supervision of the PT.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software accurately.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct rehab care in physical therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). As a PTA, you will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, providing patient education, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)

• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State

• One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred

• Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail

Specific Job Requirements:

• Participate in community health matters/projects as appropriate

• Liaison with patients, families, and support departments to adequately plan for patient needs

• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times

• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility

• Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
