Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work at Bronx Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Bronx, NY. The PTA will follow the supervising physical therapist's plan of care and provide rehab services in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Assist residents in carrying out exercises and techniques.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with laws and regulations.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship with the healthcare team.

Duties of an exceptional Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) include:

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist
• Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document on resident performance.
• Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort

PTA Requirements Include:
