Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is actively seeking a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility at our client site. The role supports supervising PTs, documents residents' progress, and uses techniques like stretching and massage to aid rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current New York State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist residents in performing exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support and cooperate with the healthcare team.
