Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant for our Satellite Physical Therapy office in Barboursville, WV. You will work under supervision to assist the Physical Therapist with patient care and daily operations of the rehab department.

The ideal candidate has a PTA degree approved by the APTA, WV license or temporary license, and required BLS certification. Experience is preferred but not required, and you will collaborate with physicians, rehab staff, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of PTA program approved by the APTA Accreditation Board.
• Current West Virginia license or Temporary license.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with patient-related activities per plan of care.
• Collaborate with rehab staff and other hospital personnel to provide interdisciplinary care.
• Participate in operational tasks including infection control and safety programs.

Skills

Thorough knowledge of physical therapy

Ability to work with physicians and RE

Current BLS

Education

APTA-approved PTA program

WV license or temporary license
