Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital, located in Huntington, WV, seeks a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to support our Rehab Services Department. The PTA will assist the physical therapist in planning and conducting physical therapy treatments and patient education programs.

Responsibilities include observing and reporting patient progress, assisting in scheduling and recording charges, and training students or new staff and volunteers as needed. WV licensure is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• PTA program completion required (2 year Associate Degree).
• Licensure by the West Virginia State Board of Physical Therapy required.
• Must be able to lift equipment up to 75 pounds from floor to waist level or support patients of 250 or more pounds.
