Job summary

Westminster Oaks is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Orlando, Florida. The position may be offered as part-time or full-time within a healthcare setting, supporting the Physical Therapist’s care plans and helping with evaluations and discharge processes.

The PTA will monitor patient progress, document activities, and assist with billing and administrative duties as directed by the PT. Two years of healthcare experience is preferred and an AA degree from an APTA-accredited

Qualifications

• Requires an AA Degree from an APTA accredited program and a current State of Florida PTA license.
• Two years experience in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the care plan as designed by the Physical Therapist (PT) and assist the PT during evaluations.
• Monitor resident's progress and communicate with PT.
• Maintain documentation in the system of resident's activities, record progress and document billing activities.
• Perform resident's home assessment as part of the discharge process as directed by the PT.
• Perform resident's screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by the PT.
