Job summary

Westminster Communities Of Florida is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for either part-time or full-time roles. The PTA will support the Physical Therapist in evaluations, monitor residents, and ensure accurate documentation and billing for therapy services.

The role requires an AA degree from an APTA-accredited program and current Florida PTA licensure. Two years of healthcare experience are preferred. Associates degree or higher in Physical Therapy Assistant is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have AA degree or higher from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current State PTA license in Florida required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Assist PT during evaluations and monitor resident progress.
• Maintain documentation in the resident care system and document billing activities.
• Perform home assessments as directed by the PT during discharge.
• Conduct admissions and quarterly/annual screenings to determine therapy needs as directed by the PT.

Responsible for carrying out the care plan as designed by the Physical Therapist (PT) and assisting the PT during evaluations. Monitor resident's progress and communicate with PT. Maintain documentation in system of resident's activities, record progress and document billing activities. Perform resident's home assessment as part of the discharge process as directed by the PT. Perform resident's screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by the PT.
