Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician for PRN opportunities. The role focuses on high-quality, patient-centered care under RN supervision, assisting with daily living activities and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, specimen collection, and basic wound care, with opportunities to perform phlebotomy or telemetry under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Familiarity with daily living activities and patient comfort.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, mobility and transportation
• Record patient information and vital signs
• Provide non-medicated support care and wound care
• Perform hourly rounding and respond to call lights
• Assist with specimen collection for tests
• Maintain clean and safe patient rooms and equipment
• Assist with patient preparation for procedures
• Perform clerical tasks as needed under supervision
• Under RN direction, assist with phlebotomy or telemetry monitoring
• Complete required infection prevention and skin/wound training
