Job summary

Lifepoint Health in Portsmouth, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) to join the team full-time, focusing on providing excellent care and support to patients on their journey to recovery.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS).

How you’ll contribute

  • Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, provide physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover and maintain physical mobility/function.
  • Implement treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities.
  • Seek consultation as necessary.
  • Monitor patient's responses to the treatment plan.
  • Regularly communicate patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
  • Document services provided and patient response/progress.
  • Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
  • Assist with patient discharge planning. Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
