Freeman Health System in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our full-time day shift. You will follow individualized treatment plans, document progress, and contribute to discharge planning for patients referred by physicians.

The role emphasizes supervising support staff, adhering to ethical standards and hospital policies while delivering high-quality patient care and mobility-focused rehabilitation.

• Current Missouri Physical Therapy Assistant license.

• Independently follows a treatment plan based on therapist/goal directed objectives, delivers/documentation, and provides discharge planning on all physician referred patients.
• Supervises and directs the treatment and activity of support staff.
• Performs tasks in compliance with the professional code of ethics, standards of practice, state/national regulations, hospital standards, and departmental policies/procedures.

About Us - Physical Therapy

• Physical therapists help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disability for any patient suffering from injury or disease
• Therapy focuses on improving function, strength, balance and coordination with a goal of improving, restoring or maintaining how an individual functions at work and at home
• Freeman therapists also teach patients to use assistive and adaptive devices, such as crutches, prostheses and wheelchairs

What You’ll Do

Independently follows a treatment plan based on therapist/goal directed objectives, delivers/documents are, and provides D/C planning on all physician referred patients. Supervises and directs the treatment and activity of support staff. Performs tasks in compliance with the professional code of ethics, standards of practice, state/national regulations, hospital standards, and departmental policies/procedures.

Requirements

Current Missouri Physical Therapy Assistant license.
