Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy procedures delegated by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• May modify a treatment procedure within the established plan as patient status changes.
• Document patient progress notes and clinical observations.
• Provide safe and effective PT procedures as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Address age-specific needs and treat patients with respect and dignity.
• Identify and report patient safety issues as they arise; coordinate workload and direction to the Physical Therapy aide.
