Job summary

Watsonville-Nursing-Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support the rehabilitation team in providing resident-centered care. You will assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans, administer exercises and modalities, and monitor progress to inform care decisions.

You will educate residents and families on home programs, maintain a safe therapy environment, and collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other clinicians to deliver

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on home exercise programs and safety precautions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to residents.
