Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training, supporting patient independence and mobility in a hospital setting. The role requires Texas PTA licensure, an accredited PTA program associate degree, and BLS certification, with one year of LPTA experience preferred.

• Current Texas licensure as a PTA.
• Associate degree from an approved PTA program.
• One year of LPTA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses for safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support excellence.
