Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN) to support a broad rehab caseload. You will provide targeted therapy, monitor progress, and educate patients and families on exercise programs within a collaborative care team.

The role requires TX licensure, an associate degree, and 1–2 years in rehab. PRN shifts include some weekends/holidays, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities at a leading healthcare system.

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) in Texas is required.
An Associate Degree from a therapy program is required.
1–2 years of rehab setting experience required.
Must be able to work 2 shifts per 4 week rotation, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
Applying physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
Monitoring patient progress and documenting responses to ensure safe, effective care.
Teaching patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
Working closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence.
