OakBend Medical Center in Houston, Texas is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatment according to patient plans under the supervision of the Rehab Services Director. The role involves serving as a resource for the PT team and assisting in quality patient care.
Qualifications include graduation from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program and eligibility for Texas Board licensing. The position is vital for treating patients across all ages, supported by required certifications.
Under the supervision of the Director of Rehab Services and Physical Therapist, to provide various methods of Physical Therapy according to patient treatment plan. To serve as a resource person for PT's, PT Assistants, and PT Aides.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in Physical Therapy preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Eligible for or licensed by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Basic Life Support certification required through the American Heart Association or other pre-approved accredited certification program.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care. Successful completion of department specific and/or hospital required training courses. Must be able to treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
