University Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to assist in carrying out patient treatment plans under licensed PT supervision in inpatient and outpatient settings.
You will perform technical tasks, help maintain safety and cleanliness of the care area, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure smooth, efficient therapy services for patients. One year of PTA experience preferred; associates degree required.
Assists in carrying out physical therapy treatment programs for inpatients and outpatients under the direction and supervision of licensed physical therapists. Performs technical work in all phases of patient treatment. Assists in maintaining safety and cleanliness of the patient care area, supplies and equipment in optimum condition to facilitate smooth operations. Participates effectively with other members of the health care team for maximum patient benefit and efficiency.
Associates Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant program. Professional clinical experience not required. A minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist assistant is preferred.
Must have and maintain a current license to practice as a physical therapist assistant issued by the Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
