Job summary

OakBend Medical Center in Houston, Texas is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant under the supervision of the Director of Rehab Services. The role entails delivering various Physical Therapy methods according to patient treatment plans and serving as a resource person for the therapy team.

The ideal candidate should be a graduate of an approved program, licensed or eligible for licensure by the Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners, and possess a Basic Life Support certification. Experience in physical therapy is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Minimum Work Experience

• Previous Experience In Physical Therapy Preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Eligible for or licensed by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support certification required through the American Heart Association or other pre-approved accredited certification program.

Required Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities

• Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care.
• Successful completion department specific and/or hospital required training courses.
• Must be able to treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
