Job summary

Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehab seeks a FULLTIME PTA to help patients improve mobility in a skilled nursing setting. New grads are welcome, CT license or eligibility preferred, with experience in rehab desired.

The role emphasizes hands-on therapy, patient education, and thorough documentation to support ongoing clinical care and outcomes. This in-house opportunity offers mentoring and professional growth within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Must have proven PTA experience or strong clinical internship.
• Solid understanding of physiology best practices and rehab standards.
• Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises and functional training.
• Strong ability to communicate and instruct patients clearly and compassionately.
• Experience with healthcare documentation and patient records.
• License to practice or relevant PTA certification in CT required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner.
• Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises.
• Identify patient needs and show compassion and empathy for individual differences.
• Recommend treatment options to support progress, safety and comfort.
• Apply latest research to restore function and reduce symptoms.
• Complete documentation to support PT services.
• Collect data and report findings for patient records.
• Monitor patient status and participate in judgments.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Maintain current knowledge through ongoing education.
