About MercyOne Elkader Medical Center

We are a 25-bed critical access hospital serving rural communities with ambulance and emergency services. Certified as a Level IV Trauma Center, our emergency department operates 24/7 with board-certified physicians and advanced practitioners.

Position Overview

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, under general supervision, you will administer physical therapy treatments, working closely with physical therapists. You must be capable of providing direct patient care across all age groups, from infants to geriatrics.

Schedule

• M – F; 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree as Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the State of Iowa
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and provide compassionate patient care

Additional Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to instruct and comfort patients of all ages
