Job summary

Warsaw Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Warsaw, NC is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a dedicated rehab team. You will provide patient-centered care under a PT's supervision and help identify appropriate rehab referrals while documenting progress and ensuring orders are in place.

The role requires an accredited PTA program, current state licensure, and a collaborative, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Graduate with BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a PT according to state guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient participation and progress on progress notes with PT cosignature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements per state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed by Supervisor.
• Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist in scheduling patients as indicated.
• Complete billing and bill patients for PT services rendered.
• Cover other therapists' caseload during absences as needed.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff and community as needed.
• Comply with all facility safety policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Report to work on time and maintain a professional image.
• Adhere to productivity requirements.
• Foster positive relations with customers, clients and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or regional manager.
• Comply with facility policies re: lunches, sick leave and time off notifications.
