Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support PT services in a hospital setting. The role involves assisting the Physical Therapist, performing delegated procedures, and documenting patient progress while maintaining safety and dignity for all patients.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree, is currently licensed (or eligible for a state temporary permit), and has a Health Care Provider BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Currently licensed in the state of practice or eligible for a state temporary permit/license.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy.
• Perform procedures delegated by the supervising Physical Therapist and adjust as directed by the plan.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the Physical Therapy aide as required.
• Address age-specific needs and ensure patient safety and comfort.
