Job summary

Cherry Hill Free Clinic is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide treatment and education under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will implement a plan of care, guide patients through exercises, gait training, ADLs, transfers, and safety protocols.

You will observe patient responses, document changes, and communicate with the healthcare team. The role emphasizes equitable, high-quality care in a supportive environment and may require weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy assistant.
• Driver’s license and access to transportation.
• Availability for weekend rotations.
• CPR certification preferred and mobility assistance ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapy procedures within legal and training boundaries, recommending plan adjustments as needed.
• Instruct patients in exercises, gait, ADLs, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members on therapy-related activities.
• Adapt to diverse home environments, ensuring quality care regardless of client background.
