Job summary

Freeman Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our on-site team in Missouri. The PTA will implement treatment plans, document patient progress, and assist with discharge planning under the supervision of licensed therapists.

Applicants must hold a current Missouri PTA license. This full-time role offers a dayshift, hospital-based setting with Freeman's comprehensive benefits.

About Us - Physical Therapy

• Physical therapists help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disability for any patient suffering from injury or disease

• Therapy focuses on improving function, strength, balance and coordination with a goal of improving, restoring or maintaining how an individual functions at work and at home

• Freeman therapists also teach patients to use assistive and adaptive devices, such as crutches, prostheses and wheelchairs

What You’ll Do

Independently follows a treatment plan based on therapist/goal directed objectives, delivers/documents are, and provides D/C planning on all physician referred patients. Supervises and directs the treatment and activity of support staff. Performs tasks in compliance with the professional code of ethics, standards of practice, state/national regulations, hospital standards, and departmental policies/procedures.

Requirements

Current Missouri Physical Therapy Assistant license.
