Job summary

Phoenix Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient care and preparing treatment spaces.

Responsibilities include scheduling, collaboration with care teams, and ensuring safety and cleanliness within the facility. CPR certification is required, and prior PT facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in physical therapy or PTA program.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a PT facility, nursing home or rehab agency preferred.
• Current CPR certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a patient treatment schedule aligned with facility needs.
• Confer with the primary care managers updated on patient needs and progress.
• Aid in patient care and safety.
• Prepare equipment for patient treatments as requested by the PT.
• Assist PT in procedures by monitoring patient and equipment for comfort and safety.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain facility cleanliness.
• Attend facility meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Physical Therapist Assistant’s p rimary responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment for treatment and assisting the Physical Therapist with selected procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the facility.
• Confer with the person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient, keeping them informed of additional patient needs, treatment modifications and/or progress.
• Aid in the care and safety of patients.
• Prepare equipment for patient treatments as requested by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in selected procedures, according to the PT’s directions, by checking patient and equipment during treatment for both comfort and safety.
• Perform housekeeping duties; maintain order and cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Attend facility meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Training:

• Associate degree in physical therapy or graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within a Physical Therapy facility, nursing home or rehabilitation agency preferred.
• Current CPR Certificate

Physical Requirements:

• Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.
