Job summary

Phoenix Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient care. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, assisting with procedures, and ensuring safety during treatment.

You will maintain a patient schedule, communicate patient needs and progress to the care team, and help keep the facility clean and compliant with safety standards. Ongoing duties may include meetings and additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in physical therapy or graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within a Physical Therapy facility, nursing home or rehabilitation agency preferred.
• Current CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment as requested by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with selected procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain a patient treatment schedule aligned with facility needs.
• Confer with management about patient needs, treatment modifications and progress.
• Aid in patient care and safety; perform housekeeping and keep facility orderly.
• Attend facility meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Physical Therapist Assistant’s p rimary responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment for treatment and assisting the Physical Therapist with selected procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the facility.
• Confer with the person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient, keeping them informed of additional patient needs, treatment modifications and/or progress.
• Aid in the care and safety of patients.
• Prepare equipment for patient treatments as requested by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in selected procedures, according to the PT’s directions, by checking patient and equipment during treatment for both comfort and safety.
• Perform housekeeping duties; maintain order and cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Attend facility meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education / Training:

• Associate degree in physical therapy or graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within a Physical Therapy facility, nursing home or rehabilitation agency preferred.

Physical Requirements:
