The Physical Therapist Assistant provides Physical Therapy services to patients and clients within the regulations and scope of practice as determined by the Physical Therapy Board, Department of Consumer Affairs, State of California, and under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The Physical Therapist Assistant offers interventions and education services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. They do not provide evaluative services nor modify treatment programs established by Physical Therapists.

Qualifications: Licensed or approved as a License Applicant by the Physical Therapy Board, Department of Consumer Affairs, State of California. CPR/AED certification is required. Applicants with current BLS may be hired but must obtain AHA CPR/AED within thirty days of employment. Preferably, candidates have at least one (1) year of experience in a rehabilitation setting.
