Job summary

STAT Home Health in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to visit patients and deliver quality PT services in-home. The PTA will assist with therapy needs, follow the plan of care, and document progress during each visit.

Must hold a Louisiana PTA license and CPR certification, with at least 1 year of PTA experience. Strong customer service, time management, and reliable transportation are essential; Home Health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Louisiana PTA license is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• 1 year experience as a licensed PTA required.
• Excellent customer service and time management skills.
• Reliable transportation to visit patients.
• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with physical therapy needs.
• Provide services within scope of practice and in accordance with plan of care.
• Observe/report patient’s response to treatment and changes in condition to PT or RN.
• Prepare clinical and/or progress notes for each visit.
• Guide patient in use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities to improve function.
