Basic Accountability Statement:

Works under the direction of the Physical Therapists. The Physical Therapy Assistant administers all forms of physical therapy as prescribed by the physician and instructed by the Physical Therapist. Assists in administration of office and performs related duties as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment by following Kare Partners policies and procedures.
• Provide skilled physical therapy care to patients with impairments, limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function due to injury, disease, or other causes.
• Record daily clinical and progress notes, ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and universal guidelines.
• Assist in coordinating patient care activities to ensure high-quality care.
• Administer physical therapy procedures, including electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, traction, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities.
• Evaluate and record muscle strength, joint measurements, and activities of daily living to develop and review treatment plans.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs to promote independence.
• Document patient progress and communicate significant changes to the referring physician for potential treatment adjustments.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited therapy assistant program.

Experience:

Registration or certification in the state as required. Must be licensed as PTA.

Pay and Benefits:

• $32-$34 per hour.
• Three weeks of Paid Time Off, with rollover options.
