Position Overview

This is a PRN (as needed) position. The Physical Therapy Assistant functions as a member of the transdisciplinary team in the RAISE Early Intervention Program for families with infants and toddlers who have developmental delays and/or disabilities or who are at high risk for delay. Key responsibilities include notifying the Physical Therapist of significant medical or health changes, maintaining documentation, and providing physical therapy services according to the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the IFSP and document activities and observations.
• Ensure families receive their entitled motor development early intervention services as listed on the IFSP.
• Make scheduled contacts to implement IFSP goals.
• Ensure all documentation meets RACS, Medicaid, and insurance requirements.
• Stay updated with current research and best practices for serving young children with delays and disabilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Associates degree from an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Virginia.
• Meet qualifications as an Early Intervention Professional per the Infant & Toddler Connection of Virginia.
• At least one year of related early intervention experience preferred.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.
