Job summary

CareOne is seeking a capable Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house rehab team in Hackensack, NJ. You will collaborate daily with nursing and clinical staff, ensure consistent patient care, and participate in multiple facilities as needed.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree as a PTA and a current NJ license; prior elder care rehab experience is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive culture within a multi-state network.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Current and Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in NJ.
• Experience with older adult rehabilitation is a plus.
• Familiarity with governmental and regulatory guidelines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides rehabilitation care within accepted practice methods per center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
• Implements treatment plans as directed by the supervising therapist.
• Keeps supervisor informed on clinical and rehabilitation issues.
• Participates in resident screening per schedules and practices.
• Engages in center-directed processes and services.
• Manages treatment and related activities efficiently.
• Completes accurate billing and documentation per requirements.

The Physical Therapist Assistant’s (PTA) overall responsibility is to provide care to the resident at the highest level.

Position Information

Location: Hackensack, NJ

Facility: CareOne at Wellington

Salary Range: $30.00 to $45.00 per hour

Practice Setting: (Short Term Rehab, Assisted Living, LTACH, Long Term Care)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides rehabilitation care within all general accepted practice methods, meeting all center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
• Implements treatment plans as outlined by the supervising therapist.
• Provides feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues.
• Participates in the screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices.
• Participates in all center directed processes and services.
• Shows effective management of treatment and non-treatment related activities.
• Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Maintains complete, accurate and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements
• Participates in in-service training programs as requested
• May travel to other facilities to provide services on a limited basis

Position Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Current and Active Physical Therapy Assistant license within the state of operations.
• Prefer-experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation.
• Prefer knowledge in governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
