Job summary

CareOne at East Brunswick (SNF) is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house rehabilitation team in East Brunswick, NJ. The PTA will provide rehabilitative services to residents, collaborating with nursing and clinical staff to achieve optimal outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree and an active PTA license in New Jersey, with preferred experience in older adult rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of operation.
• Experience with older adult rehabilitation preferred.
• Knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitation care per accepted practice standards.
• Implement treatment plans as directed by supervising therapist.
• Report clinical and rehabilitation issues to the supervisor.
• Screen residents according to directed schedules and practices.
• Participate in center directed processes and services.
• Maintain complete, accurate and timely billing records.

Hiring: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: East Brunswick, NJ

Salary Range: $30-$45 per Hour

The Physical Therapist Assistant’s (PTA) overall responsibility is to provide care to the resident at the highest level.

Practice Setting: (Short Term Rehab, Assisted Living, LTACH, Long Term Care)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides rehabilitation care within all general accepted practice methods, meeting all center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
• Implements treatment plans as outlined by the supervising therapist.
• Provides feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues.
• Participates in the screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices.
• Participates in all center directed processes and services.
• Shows effective management of treatment and non-treatment related activities.
• Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Maintains complete, accurate and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements
• Participates in in-service training programs as requested
• May travel to other facilities to provide services on a limited basis

Position Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Current and Active Physical Therapy Assistant license within the state of operations.
• Prefer-experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation.
• Prefer knowledge in governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
