Adams Road Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304Schedule: Full-Time (Flexible Schedules Available)General Summary:Provides physical therapy treatment according to established treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Contributes to the development, implementation, progression, and modification of patient treatment plans. Participates in patient care conferences and program development, completes required documentation, and adheres to company policies, procedures, and current clinical practice standards.Role Summary:Provide physical therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the A.P.T.A. for Physical Therapist Assistants while ensuring quality patient care.Contribute to the development, implementation, progression, and modification of patient treatment plans and participate in discharge planning to support continued care and provide patient/family instruction.Maintain accurate documentation to support medical record quality, continuity of care, and reimbursement guidelines.Coordinate with other disciplines and department staff to promote effective, comprehensive patient care and a strong team philosophy.Effectively communicate with patients, families, department staff, company personnel, department heads, and visitors; represent the Physical Therapy Department and attend care conferences as requested.Maintain clinical expertise through continuing education; supervise students and volunteers and delegate work assignments, responsibilities, and patients to support staff as needed.Secure necessary patient equipment and department supplies.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant programLicensure as required by the State of MichiganSkills and Abilities:Ability to exercise professional judgment and initiative when analyzing problems and recommending solutionsInitiative and flexibility in the work environmentAbility to react effectively to the needs of patients and their familiesPhysical ability to bend, position, transfer, and lift patients weighing 80 pounds to over 300 pounds without restriction, utilizing clinically recommended lifting devicesEmployee Benefits:Competitive PayAffordable Medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield MI401k Eligibility & matching after 3 months of serviceHoliday PayReimbursement for Professional Licensure and CEU Credits
