Job summary

North Lake Physical Therapy in Portland seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide to support licensed physical therapists and ensure excellent patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will assist therapists during treatments, transfer patients safely, manage bookings and EHRs, and help maintain a clean, compliant therapy environment. A friendly, team-focused communicator with reliability will fit well here.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Proficiency in patient transfer techniques and safety protocols.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy/physiology.
• Experience with electronic health records systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists during treatment sessions and therapeutic exercises.
• Safely transport and transfer patients to and from treatment areas.
• Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage electronic health records.
• Monitor and maintain therapy supply inventory.
• Perform administrative tasks including answering phones and managing documentation.
• Support therapists in patient education and exercise demonstration.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care delivery.
