Qualifications

• Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from home office and arrange transportation
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology
• Knowledge of the therapy equipment used
• Knowledge of patient needs and behaviors
• Knowledge of strengthening techniques
• Knowledge of restraints and aggressive behavior management practices
• Ability to successfully complete in-service training
• Ability to observe, evaluate, and record patient conditions
• Ability to maintain appropriate attitude and conduct for patient welfare
• Ability to create and maintain records and write brief reports
• Ability to communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under the supervision of a Doctor of Physical Therapy and/or Occupational Therapy
• Prepare heat and ice packs, assist patients to the pool, guide exercises and monitor exertion levels
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment and perform basic preventive maintenance
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines
• Prep the treatment room for sessions and assist patients entering therapy
• Answer calls and provide exemplary customer service; assist with scheduling
