Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center in Fernley is seeking a friendly Physical Therapy Aide to prepare treatment areas, greet patients, and assist therapists in delivering safe, effective care.

You will help with equipment, demonstrate exercises, document progress, and maintain supplies, with travel to other clinic locations possible.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience providing customer service required.
  • Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient appointments, including cleaning and maintaining safety.
  • Greet patients and direct them to the appropriate treatment area.
  • Assist therapist with non-treatment aspects of therapy services following universal precautions.
  • Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
  • Ensure patient safety at all times, noting risk factors and communicating with the therapist.
  • Document activities, exercises, and outcomes in the patient’s electronic medical record as directed by the therapist.
  • Maintain adequate levels of clinic supplies and linens.

What would you do in this role?

Minimum Qualifications

Certifications/Education

  • High School Diploma/GED;

Experience:

  • Providing customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

Travel: This position may require travel to other clinic locations based on manager discretion.
