Job summary

ACCESS PT in Danbury, CT is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to join our team on a part-time basis. The role offers a starting pay of $17.00-$17.50 per hour, based on experience, and includes supportive benefits through Confluent Health’s network.

You will assist therapists with patient care and prepare treatment areas and equipment. Responsibilities include setting up treatment spaces, helping with mobilization and gait training, and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sanitize treatment room for the patients
• Understand the uses of stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes,rebounder, weight equipment, mobilization tables and benches, progressive resistive exercises asdesigned by the Physical Therapist
• Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin bath, and hot packs
• Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patient bodies before and after treatment
• Assist physical therapy assistant and/or physical therapist to support patient during ambulation and gait training.
• Communicate effectively with patients/clients, the public and all members of the healthcare team
