Job summary

ACCESS PT is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Aide for our Danbury, Connecticut location. The role supports therapists and patients with room preparation, equipment setup, and patient ambulation assistance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Salary ranges from $17.00 to $17.50 per hour, based on experience, with benefits and career development opportunities offered by ACCESS PT as part of the Confluent Health family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sanitize treatment room for the patients
• Understand the uses of stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes, rebounder, weight equipment, mobilization tables and benches, progressive resistive exercises as designed by the Physical Therapist
• Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin bath, and hot packs
• Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patient bodies before and after treatment
• Assist physical therapy assistant and/or physical therapist to support patient during ambulation and gait training
• Communicate effectively with patients/clients, the public and all members of the healthcare team
