Job summary

ACCESS PT in Brookfield, CT is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. The position is full-time and based at 31 Old Route 7, Brookfield, CT 06804. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist Therapists, and support patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sanitize treatment room for the patients
• Understand the uses of stationary bikes, pulley systems, exercise/medicine balls, plyometric boxes, rebounder, weight equipment, mobilization tables and benches, progressive resistive exercises as designed by the Physical Therapist
• Prepare equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin bath, and hot packs
• Remove and replace braces, splints, and slings from patient bodies before and after treatment
• Assist physical therapy assistant and/or physical therapist to support patient during ambulation and gait training.
• Communicate effectively with patients/clients, the public and all members of the healthcare team
